Mary King Makes History with 1,2 Finish at Rolex CCI4*
What an incredible weekend of competition at Rolex this year.
49-year-old British Olympian Mary King held the top 2 places going into the showjumping with King's Temptress (a horse she bred herself) and Fernhill Urco. Both horses jumped clear, which meant Mary's only competition was herself.
King now has an incredible lead in the FEI HSBC Classics Series , which offers $150,000 to the highest overall points leader in Badminton, Rolex, Luhmuhlen, Burghley and Pau.
Coverage is everywhere on Mary's history accomplishment in Kentucky.
A nice touch was seeing Mark Todd lending a helping hand when Mary had to quickly switch horses following her first jumping round....Mark was hold onto Fernhill Urco while Mary was switching saddles. Unfortunately the 4-time Badminton winner from last weekend withdrew just before the showjumping.
