Christilot Boylen Wins Second Grand Prix at CDI 3* Hagen, Germany

Canada’s Christilot Boylen enjoyed continued success at the second CDI 3* held June 1-5, 2005 in Hagen, Germany.

Boylen began the competition with 69.300% and a second place finish in the Intermediaire I aboard the 10-year-old Hanoverian Don Valentino, owned by Alec Murray and Compositor Investments Inc. of Canada.

In the Grand Prix ring, Boylen was able to duplicate her previous week's victory on the 11-year-old black Baden Württenberg gelding Gachino (Gardez x Chinatown), owned by Mrs. Hermosilla. The pair earned a score of 69.167 % from the judging panel. Boylen proved to be solid competition to herself when she also came third in the same class with 68.375 % aboard Lucky Lemon (Lemon Park x Tannenberg), a 14-year-old Hannoverian mare owned by Dora Boyle-Pabst. The field of competitors included such notable riders as Germany's Alexandra Simons-de Ridder and Australia's Kristy Oatley.

In the Grand Prix Speciale, Boylen rode to 2-3 victory with Gachino again on top of his stablemate with 69.400 %. Lucky Lemon had to settle for a second third place ribbon with 68.560 %.
