Alexandria Wilson Wins Grand Prix Special at Sao Paulo CDI 3* in Brazil

Alexandria Wilson and Oceano do Top rode to success in the Grand Prix Special at the Sao Paulo CDI 3* held June 4-5, 2005 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Starting in a field of seven competitors in the Grand Prix, Wilson placed fifth aboard Oceano do Top, an 11-year-old Lusitano stallion owned by Tonico Perreira and José Roberto Guimarães .

Wilson describes Oceano as “ a wonderful character, extremely intelligent, and with a heart as big as he is”. Wilson has taken Oceano through the levels, beginning with his first show and last year they completed their first Grand Prix.

Wilson, a previous short listed rider, has been riding and competing in Brazil for several years. After graduating from the Young Riders ranks, where she competed at the North American Young Riders Championships in 1997, Wilson first major breakthrough as an international senior rider came in 2003 when she was selected as the alternate rider for the Canadian Team at the Open European Dressage Championships
