Canada's Leonie Bramall & Relevant at Vechta

It was a special moment for Leonie as the telephone call came from Gudula Vorwerk asking if she could help with riding the stallions for the Gestüt Vorwerk stallion presentation in Vechta. As in the past year, Leonie would again ride Don Gregory (v. Donnerhall). In addition this year she was given the honor of riding olympic veteran Relevant (v. Rubinstein). From the years where Leonie rode and trained with Johan Hinneman,  she and Relevant were well acquainted. Leonie rode Relevant during 1997 and also qualified and competed him at the German young horse championships in the 6 year old class. Even at his early stage Leonie was certain that she was sitting on a super talent who was destined for higher levels!

That Relevant even today still counts as one of Leonie's favourite horses was clear to see during the Vorwerk stallion presentation. Taking into consideration that they only had two days time to get re-acquainted, they presented a picture of elegance and harmony.

A repeat performance before the huge crowd during the stallion show at the Equitana in Essen a week later was equally as impressive. Together with Ingrid Klimke and Royal Diamond (v. Rubinstein), Leonie and Relevant demonstrated Grand Prix at its finest.
