US Dressage Diva Lisa Wilcox Moving to Switzerland
American Olympic dressage rider Lisa Wilcox will soon be leaving Gestut Vorwerk in Germany to be the head rider at the stables of Dr. Samuel Schatzmann in Switzerland.
Lisa Wilcox rose to international stardom and became a household name riding the stallions of Gestut Vorwerk, the most notable being Relevant who was her partner at the 2004 Olympic Games where they won Team Bronze and the 2002 World Equestrian Games where they won Team Silver.
Wilcox will be the head rider and trainer at Schatzmann's stables. It is not yet clear who will take over the reins at Gestut Vorwerk.
Dr. Schatzmann is a well decorated dressage rider in his country having won a team silver medal at the 1984 and 1998 Olympic Games as well as team bronze medals at the 1989 European Championships and 1990 World Championships.
