Ellen Bontje, a member of the Dutch Dressage Team since 1988,  is best known for her partnership in the international ring with the stallion Silvano N with whom she captured a Team Silver Medal and placed sixth individually at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.  The duo also won Team Silver at the 1998 World Equestrian Games where they placed eighth individually and a fourth place finish at the 1999 European Championships. Her training background include working with Nico van Stigt, Josef Neckermann and Conrad Schumacher. Bontje currently is the manager and senior trainer at Schumacher’s facility in Germany and is under contract with British Dressage to train young professional riders and coaches.

Norbert van Laak earned his Master’s certificate FN in Germany in 1987. His list of international training duties is extensive and includes the past five Olympic Games (1988 – 2004) as well as World Equestrian Games, World & European Championships and World Cup competitions. His students include Danish Olympic rider Lars Peterson and recent British Olympian Nicola McGovern.
