Canada Wins Gold at Can-Am Challenge!

Canadian riders won Gold and Bronze at the 2004 Can-Am Challenge held during at Dressage at Devon CDI ***/CDI-Y September 28 to October 3, 2004 in Pennsylvania, USA. Although organizers originally offered the Challenge to FEI Pony, Junior, Young Rider as well as Advanced divisions, due to a lack of entries on the part of both countries only the Advanced division of the Challenge took place.

The Canada Eh! Team rode to a Gold Medal finish while the Canada Maple Leaf Team secured the Bronze.

“It is very exciting to see these wonderful horses continuing on in their success,” said High Performance Chair Kim Goodyear. “We look forward to seeing them in the Grand Prix ring soon.”

Dressage at Devon, now in it’s thirtieth year, is considered as one of the most prestigious dressage competitions in North America and is held at the expansive Devon Show Grounds in Devon, Pennsylvania.

The show is presented by Delaware Valley Combined Training Association and benefits Thorncroft Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Inc., one of the oldest and largest therapeutic riding facilities in the USA. Since 1991, Dressage at Devon has raised close to $850,000 for Thorncroft.
