After representing Canada at the 1994 World Equestrian Games in The Hague, Netherlands, with Hitman, Bruce’s international success has skyrocketed with Larissa. The pair finished 11th at the 1999 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event, qualifying them for the 1999 Pan American Games where they were Canada’s top-placed combination, finishing ninth overall. They then competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, where they placed twenty-second overall with one of only five clean rounds in stadium jumping. In recognition of achievement, the American Trakehner Association awarded Larissa a $10,000 prize for North American-bred Trakehners.

The following year, Larissa repeated her performance as the highest placed Canadian horse, this time at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain, finishing 29th from a field of 80 horses with a clear cross-country performance. In 2003, after successfully completing the challenging CCI**** Badminton Three Day Event in England, Bruce and Larissa were members Silver Medal Team at the Pan American Eventing Championships.
