Washington International Horse Show to Air on Fox Sports Net Dec. 5 & 6

Highlights of the 2002 Washington International Horse Show will be broadcast nationwide in a one-hour television special on Fox Sports Net. In most areas the program will air on Thursday, December 5 at 3:00pm local time and again on Friday, December 6 at 1:00pm local time. Days and times may vary so viewers should check local listings.



The television program will cover highlights of the key open jumper competitions at the Show – the President’s Cup Grand Prix, sponsored by Salamander Farm; the Puissance (horse high-jump); and the General Star Gambler’s Choice. Also included will be excerpts of the dressage exhibitions; ASPCA-Maclay Equitation Finals; bull riding; Pro-Junior Costume Class, sponsored by Solaray and the Nextel terrier races.



In most areas, the program will be broadcast on a channel listed as Fox Sports Net. However, in Maryland and Philadelphia the Fox Sports Net affiliate is Comcast Sports Net; in Florida it is Sunshine; in Buffalo, NY it is Empire Sports Net; and in New York it is MSG.


The 2002 Washington International Horse Show achieved record attendance and record sponsorship. Held at the MCI Center in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., it provides high quality year-end finals competition for the top hunters and jumpers in the country while also providing exciting entertainment for a broad group of spectators. The Washington International Horse Show is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with proceeds going to national and local charities.
