Team Canada's Tough Day at the Office in FEI Nations Cup, Florida
Team Canada had a tough day at the office today in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup held in Ocala, Florida.
The team consisted of:
Chris Sorensen & Bobby
Jonathan Millar & Star Power
Amy Millar & Heros
Mac Cone & Gasper Van Den Doorn
After 2 rounds, the team finished 6th with a total of 45 faults.
Team USA kept their lead after the first round to finish as the winners on 13 faults.
Columbia took the bronze medal position with 24 faults.
This now puts Canada in the position of having to chase points in order to achieve one of 2 slots for North America in the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup Finals being held September 22-25 in Barcelona, Spain.
The Finals will see 46 nations from 6 regions vie for top honours.
Canada is in the "North and Central America & Caribbean" region which also includes El Salvador, Mexico and the United States.
The final 2 qualifiers include Coapexpan, Mexico on April 29th and Thunderbird in BC on June 3rd.
